When it comes to nutrition, it is important to forget about pastry products as well as packaged commercial delicacies such as cookies or croissants. All puff pastry, even if it is wholemeal flour, should be avoided. As said before, we must prepare in advance the snack that we will get at work from the previous day. A very easy solution is the fruits, such as banana or apple. But just a fruit is not enough. How long will it keep you from hunger? You can combine your fruit with a pasteli – sesami snack from Mani Manolakos. Sesami snack is rich in antioxidants, gives you energy throughout the day and contains a lot of calcium that has a positive effect on osteoporosis. With this snack and a good breakfast you can stay up to 5.
Another nice solution is cereal bars. I avoid buying from the supermarket because I do not trust the materials they use. I prefer to prepare them by myself with the recipe of Akis Petretzikis that also have a small dose of chocolate.
Another alternative is some organic cherry tomatoes, 2 barley rusks and cream cheese with Taygetus oregano and organic extra virgin olive oil Aelia.
Another equally nice snack is the nuts and dried fruits that can be combined with a goat yogurt if there is the possibility of using a refrigerator in your work.
Finally, another nice idea is the fruit salad.
To be honest, most days I prefer the pasteli – sesami snack and banana because it is the easiest. Nevertheless, if I have prepared the cereal bars of Akis Petretzikis, I definetely prefer them.
