High phenolic olive oil extra virgin 5 lt harvest 2020-2021


Organic extra virgin olive oil harvest 2020-2021. It is produced in Mani and specifically in Mavrovouni Gythion from olive groves that follow the natural way of cultivation, without the addition of pesticides or other sprays.

It falls under The European Union Health Regulation 432/2012 which means that the consumption of this olive oil contributes positively to the health of the human body.

You must keep in a cool and shady place. It should not be refrigerated.

We produce the high phenolic olive oil extra virgin “Aelia” in Gythio Laconia in olive groves located on Mavrovonouni beach. The acidity in our area is very low.  “Aelia” in the 2020-21 oil season touched just 0.38%, while the limit for the extra virgin olive oil is 0.8%

Our love for nature and healthy eating led us to create a product for which we pride ourselves on its purity and its contribution to health and human well-being. It is a certified organic product with certification code BIO4400003.

We limit our annual production approximately to 3.000 kg as we pay attention to the quality and not the quantity. For this reason we collect the fruit of olive oil “Aelia” early while the olives are still green. In this way, “Aelia” retains all the vitamins of the olive and contains more phenols.

Also, the certificate of analysis of this year’s olive oil was carried out by the pharmaceutical department of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens. It showed us that the levels of oleocanthal are above the average of the samples of international sampling of olive oils.

Therefore, the daily consumption of 20 g of the analysed sample provides 11.2 mg of tyrosol and hydrotthrosol derivatives. Olive oils containing >5 mg per 20 g belong to the category of oils that protect against oxidation of blood lipids. (in accordance with Regulation 432/2012 of the European Union)

Finally, we should say that the substances Oleocanthal and Oleocin have a significant biological effect. They have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, cardioprotective and veroprotective properties.

Last but not least, we use the natural cultivation for the specific high phenolic olive oil. This means that we add no medicines or chemicals. We use fly traps and zeolit rock to protect the olive fruit and feed our soil.
